The PM MITRA Park at Virudhunagar, Tamil Nadu continues to advance as a mega integrated textile project aimed at boosting manufacturing, investment and employment in the sector.

Smt. Neelam Shami Rao, Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, visited the site along with the NICDC team to review the progress of the park and engage with key stakeholders driving the project forward.

During the visit, a stakeholder meeting was convened with representatives from the State Government, implementing agencies and industry stakeholders to discuss development milestones, infrastructure readiness and investment opportunities.

As the Project Management Agency (PMA) for the PM MITRA Scheme, NICDC is supporting the Ministry of Textiles in planning, coordination and implementation to help deliver world-class integrated textile ecosystems across India.

Each milestone at PM MITRA Parks strengthens India’s vision of building globally competitive textile manufacturing hubs — from fibre to finished products.
